Q: What is a vehicle wrap?
A: A wrap turns any car, truck, van, bus, or other vehicle into a mobile billboard, advertising to thousands of people each day. A wrap is basically a giant graphic made of high-performance outdoor durable vinyl, manufactured specifically to cover the entire outside of a vehicle.

Q: Why should I wrap my car instead of paint or vinyl lettering?
A: A wrapped vehicle grabs more attention from those who see it on the road or parked in a car park. Paint re-sprays decreases the value of your vehicle and vinyl lettering is more difficult to remove when the time comes to sell your vehicle. Wrapping your vehicle on factory paint can actually protect it.

Q: Do I have to get a full wrap or do I have other options?
A: We will work with your budget to get you the most for your money. You can just cover the windows, or just a smaller section of the vehicle, typically known as a half or partial wrap.

Q. What's the difference between a ½, ¾ and full wrap?
A. 1/2 Wraps cover just parts of the vehicle such as the entire rear of the vehicle and 1/2 way up the sides. A 3/4 Wrap generally covers the entire rear of the vehicle, most of the sides, and includes a bonnet logo. Full Wraps cover the entire surface of the vehicle with or without the roof, depending on the vehicle and the customer's wishes.

Q. What's all involved in a vehicle wrap?
A. There are three major parts to the vehicle wrap process. The design and layout must be created and approved before any production can begin. Once the design and a colour proof are approved it moves to the production phase and gets printed and laminated. The final step is the installation of the graphics on your vehicle(s). Any of the three parts can take a long or short time; there are many factors that influence the complete process of a custom wrap.

Q. What goes into designing the wrap? Do I need to provide artwork?
A. The wrap is going to be a huge reflection of your company. We want you to be in complete control over what goes on your vehicle. We can design the wrap for you according to your specifications and any artwork you are able to provide such as logos or product images. If you have your own design capabilities we can provide you with a vehicle template and specifications for the artwork so that you can provide us with your completed design. Please refer to Artwork Preparation Guide for more information on how to supply your artwork.

Q. How long does the whole process take?
A. Depending on the amount of information and artwork files we get from you, the design of the wrap can take 5 to 10 business days. This can get longer if multiple revisions are required. From the time that the design is completed and coloured proofs are approved by our client, a wrap can be printed and installed within 10 business days, sometimes less depending on circumstances.

Q. How are the graphics printed and produced?
A. We will typically send you an actual piece of printed material for approval prior to printing the entire job. Once the design and printed proofs are approved we will begin printing the graphics. Our printer and laminator are housed in a completely clean, climate controlled environment which insures the highest quality and consistency. Prints are allowed to dry for 24 hours before the laminate is applied to the graphics.

Q. How does a wrap get installed?
A. We have our own national network of installation crews that have been approved by most leading vinyl manufacturers, to ensure our expert level of quality and consistency is applied to each installation, no matter where the location. We also have several fitting workshops throughout the UK or if you insist on having the install fitted at your location, a controlled environment is extremely important for the overall quality of the finished product. Wraps cannot be applied outdoors.

Q. Will my vehicles paint get damaged when the graphics are removed?
A. If you have factory paint in good condition at the time of application, there should be no damage to the paint. If your vehicle has paint that is oxidized or has been repainted due to age or an accident, the paint may be damaged upon removal.

________________________________________
Q. How long should I expect the wrap to last?
A. You can expect to get 3-5 years and longer out of the wrap provided proper care is given to the graphics. The vinyl and laminate we use are very durable and have been developed to be used specifically for wraps. You may experience typical wear and tear around tightly curved areas and "high traffic" areas such as door handles and door frames.

Q. What is the proper care for my wrap?
A. Hand washing with a soft non-abrasive sponge is encouraged. Avoid high pressure washes because the force of the spray can tear the vinyl or cause seams to lift. Never use an ice scraper on window graphics.

Q. Can I take it through the carwash?
A. We recommend wraps to be hand washed to maintain life expectancy. Wraps can go through a carwash, but the longevity of the wrap may be compromised.

Q. What if I dent a side of my car, can my car wrap be fixed?
A. Yes, we can easily replace the damaged pieces or panels of your car wrap. We will be sure to print a large swatch of your original wrap to keep on record so that we will be able to match the colour(s) if you would ever need replacement pieces.

Q. Does the colour of my car matter?
A. From a design standpoint, it can be helpful to fade graphics into the vehicle's colour to avoid labour intensive areas such as bumpers, grilles and roofs. However, we can also cover 100% of the current paint colour and change the entire look of the vehicle. You won't even remember what colour the car or van used to be!

Q. Will I still be able to see through my windows if they get covered in vinyl?
A. Yes. The material we use for rear and side windows has thousands of tiny holes in it to allow you to see through.

Q. Do you wrap the front windows or the windscreen?
A. No, the law prohibits wraps on both the front side windows and the windscreen.

Q. Do you wrap the roof?
A. We will wrap any painted surface of the vehicle. On higher vehicles i.e. on a High roof Transit van there is no need to wrap the roof unless you request it.

Q. Can you wrap a fibreglass bumper?
A.: As long as the bumper is painted the vinyl will adhere to it the same as a metal bumper.

Q. What if I want my advertising to be visible at night?
A. We can add reflective vinyl to your wrap.

Q. What if my company logo or phone number changes in the future?
A. We can print logos, phone numbers, websites, or any other information as overlays on the wrap, so that they can be removed and replaced if you wish to change anything.

Q. How effective is a wrap?
A. Studies conducted have shown that a car wrap can get up to 8.3 million views per year in a city of 50,000. In a medium-sized city like Dundee, a Car Wrap can make 1000-2500 impressions per hour on a busy street. In large metropolitan areas like London, impressions per hour can be as high as 20,000.

Q. Why a car wrap? Why not just advertise in newspapers or magazines?
A. Combine the total that you or your company spends on advertising each year; compare those costs to the cost of a car wrap. Factor in that a car wrap lasts between 3-5 years and will be seen by millions over that period of time. In addition, there are no monthly fees or maintenance/renewal charges.
